Easter weekend itinerary

What’s on your Easter weekend itinerary? If you are looking for a way to spend your Easter weekend with as many chocolate bunnies and hard boiled eggs as possible you have come to the right place!

This Saturday, Living History Farms is putting on an egg hunt that will be separated by ages so that there are some that are a little more difficult to find for your older kiddos and some in plain sight for your smallest ones. This will also be safe for everyone. The whole hunt will be allergy free so there is no need for parents and guardians to worry! If you are originally from a smaller town this might be the event for you, they pride themselves in having a small town feel even close to our “big” city. This event goes from 9am to noon and is $7 per person.

If the small town feel isn’t really your thing, from 10am to 2pm you can do a little egg hunt with all the animals at The Blank Park Zoo! There will be an Easter Bunny and a Golden Egg contest with zoo prizes for the whole family to enjoy.

Lastly, if your littles are more evening people, Indianola Church of Christ is putting on a glow in the dark hunt starting at 8pm. They are welcoming 5th graders and under to this fun moon lit event and it will be free of charge.

Adults can enjoy an Easter Brunch cooking class being held by Cooking with Alessandra from 10am to 12pm, but tickets are going fast, so you’ll want to snatch those spots up as soon as you can! You will be taught how to make twisted breadsticks and a savory Easter tart to impress your family and friends. Another option for adults is an adult Easter Egg Hunt at Surety Hotel. This free event will be complete with a raffle at the end of the night and holiday themed cocktails!  Fun!

No matter what’s on your Easter weekend itinerary, the team at Jerry’s Homes wishes you a great weekend!
